The Brief

After having a baby, Sowmya and Suresh Pandian’s idea of great home design has shifted from great aesthetics to superb practicality. Mehjabeen, their design expert from HomeLane, gave them the perfect blend: a toddler-proof, beautiful home with high functionality.

The Beginning

The couple’s first meeting was at HomeLane’s Kanakapura Experience Centre. Their designer used HomeLane’s 3D visualization tool, SpaceCraft, to give them a complete picture of what their home would look like once finished. That’s how they began an exciting home interior journey together.

The Outcome

The couple’s brief of creating a child-proof home was thoughtfully achieved by the designer and the team. All the furniture finishes are resistant to stains and damage. The crockery shelves in the dining room are placed high on the walls so that the baby cannot reach them. There are also no protruding edges and handles in the home which could possibly hurt the baby. The sliding wardrobe with a lacquered finish, lofts, and hinged wardrobes in the bedrooms provide the family much-needed storage. Along with great functionality, the designer has managed to keep the home glamorous as well.
