Some homes speak softly at first. Sushma and Jagadeesh’s new 3BHK in Apna Cyberscape, Nallagandla, was one of them. The couple envisioned a home that felt warm and intentional, practical for everyday routines and polished enough to reflect their personal taste. The only challenge was finding the right vision to unlock its true character and achieving all of this within a realistic 14 lakh budget.

That is where HomeLane stepped in as the design partner that could bridge imagination and execution. What followed was a seamless collaboration powered by transparent pricing, expert planning, and a design process built around modern Indian lifestyles. Each surface, each colour, each material has been chosen with care.
Today, we invite you to step inside this charming, carefully detailed home, where functionality meets simplicity. From the smartly planned kitchen to the serene bedrooms and pooja space, every nook and corner carries the quiet confidence of good design. Let’s take a closer look.
1. The Beginning: A Vision That Balanced Style and Budget

When Sushma and Jagadeesh approached HomeLane, their brief was uncomplicated but very specific. Within a budget of Rs. 14 lakhs, they wanted:
- A modern kitchen,
- Practical wardrobes for every bedroom,
- A sleek and warm living area,
- Storage that didn’t overwhelm the space, and
- A look that felt sophisticated but not over-the-top.
Theirs was the kind of brief that many Indian homeowners relate to: high-end finishes without the stress of overspending.
The HomeLane designer assigned to the project took them through layouts, materials, and combinations that would bring the best value while keeping the home elevated and fresh. After a few iterations, the final material palette was locked in: warm neutrals, glossy whites, soft pastels, and marble-finish accents.
What followed was a beautifully coordinated transformation.
2. A Smart, Seamless Kitchen Designed for Real Life

The heart of the home is a compact L-shaped kitchen, executed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind.
The designer chose a warm, neutral cappuccino laminate for the base cabinets, which are great for daily use, and paired it with high-gloss ice-white overhead cabinets that instantly brighten the space. The combination not only looks modern and sleek but also guarantees easy cleaning and long-term durability.
3. Clever Storage & Maximised Space in the L-shaped Kitchen
One of the trickiest areas in any L-shaped kitchen is the corner. It often becomes a dead zone where utensils end up disappearing. To avoid that, the designer suggested a corner carousel with a rotating pull-out that allows easy access to everything stored inside. For Sushma, this was a game-changer; no more stretching and struggling to reach deep corners!
The base units include a three-drawer system for cutlery, cups and saucers, and plates and pans; a two-tier bottle pull-out; a shutter unit with adjustable shelves; and a completely handle-less finish for a seamless look. On the opposite side, tall storage and a set of four drawers add ample space for groceries and heavy utensils. Overhead cabinets include aluminium profile shutters with clear glass, adding elegance without blocking visual openness.
The complete kitchen came to Rs. 4 lakhs, which is a smart investment for a space that is both practical and stylish.
4. The Master Bedroom: Calm, Cosy, and Thoughtfully Designed

The master bedroom is intentionally soothing; a space tailored for relaxation after long working days.
The wardrobe uses a combination of hazel camel laminates paired with pastel turquoise and inset lacquered glass, giving the room an elegant, softly coloured backdrop. With two shutter wardrobes, integrated drawers, and loft storage, the room remains clutter-free.
Cost of the wardrobe: Rs. 1.8 lakhs

#2 A Compact Dressing Corner: The corner dressing unit is sleek, functional, and in line with the overall finish. It has two drawers, a mirror with storage behind it, and the same colour palette as the room.

#3 False Ceiling That Completes the Look: Subtle profile lighting paired with four downlights completes the master bedroom’s cosy vibe.

5. The Guest Bedroom: Soft Blues and a Premium Touch

In the guest bedroom, Sushma wanted something fresh but understated. The designer suggested a combination of creamy white laminate for the loft and solid soft-touch powder blue laminate for the shutters. This soft-touch laminate adds a premium tactile feel that’s smooth and luxurious.
The wardrobe includes long spy-finish handles, a corner unit, three lower drawers, and a shutter with a full-length mirror that doubles as a dressing space. The entire layout keeps the room light, airy, and welcoming for guests.
To complete the look, the HomeLane team added a clean false ceiling with slim-profile lighting paired with warm downlights. This soft layered lighting frames the room beautifully, and creates a gentle glow that enhances the pastel palette.
Cost of wardrobe: Rs. 1.7 lakhs
Cost of false ceiling: Rs. 30,000
Total cost for the guest bedroom: Rs. 2 lakhs
6. Living Room: Elevating Simplicity

The living room is where Sushma and Jagadeesh wanted a sense of calm, and the HomeLane team delivered exactly that. The living room showcases one of the most elegant TV units you’ll find in a home of this budget.
The designer opted for floating base cabinets with a sleek back panel, finishing the top with an Irish brown marble-look surface for a subtle hint of luxury. Push-to-open suspended drawers keep the design clean and handle-free, while soft-close mechanisms add to the quiet sophistication of the room. And to finish it off beautifully, a warm, modern false ceiling with profile lighting creates a balanced, airy atmosphere.
The result? A clean, minimal look that instantly elevates the space.
Cost of false ceiling: Rs. 35,000
Total cost for the living room: Rs. 95,000
7. Washbasin & Bathrooms: Clean Lines and Cohesive Finishes

To maintain continuity across the home, the team designed identical vanity units for all the washrooms. Each unit features a floating silhouette that keeps the floor visually open, paired with an Irish brown marble-finish countertop, Ivory frost shutters, and a compact two-shutter configuration for everyday essentials.
The result is a set of bathrooms that feel coordinated, clutter-free, and easy to maintain.
Total cost for the bathroom: Rs. 20,000 per unit
8. Dining Area and Crockery Unit: Elegant and Functional

Cost of the Pooja unit: Rs. 50,000
10. Kids Bedroom: Playful yet Refined
