Our Safety Measures During the Current Covid-19 Situation

By - April 01, 2024

As the situation around the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19, continues to evolve globally, we at HomeLane are taking all possible steps as an organisation to ensure the safety and health of our customers, employees, field staff, designers and partners. All of our Experience Centres will remain closed until 9th May, 2021.

By taking all the right precautionary steps, and spreading awareness amongst colleagues, family and friends, we can do our part in containing the virus.

COVID-19 Awareness Drives:

All our employees have been issued guidelines and are being briefed on the best practices of personal hygiene and sanitation as per the World Health Organization. From the right way of washing hands to the usage of masks to symptoms of the virus – advisories are being issued regularly.

Strict Guidelines:

Many of our employees are working from home to limit the number of employees on-ground. We have issued strict guidelines to our employees to self-quarantine themselves and notify us and the health officials, in case they notice any symptoms. We are also enforcing utmost transparency in the system so that employees/ contractors/partners with a history of travel or possible contagion are able to self-quarantine. In all workspaces, we have enforced guidelines to ensure that employees are taking tea-breaks and lunch-breaks in batches, to encourage social distancing. We also keep a check on our employees’ health and in case of symptoms, we trace back possible work contacts to ensure self-quarantine for all.

Hygiene Mandates:

We have ramped up the cleaning efforts in all our factories, warehouses and experience centres, with frequent sanitisation and thermal screening of our designers, field staff (carpenters and support staff), and employees. Our experience centres, factories, warehouses and offices have also been equipped with alcohol-based sanitisers and IR based thermometers – everyone entering the premises are being screened and asked to sanitize. We have also increased the frequency of cleaning high contact points, such as doorknobs, glasses etc. Our on-site staff such as installers, carpenters, delivery managers are being screened regularly for symptoms and encouraged to maintain sanitising standards while working on the delivery of our customers’ homes.

Meetings with Our Customers:

Customers can meet the design experts online (Note: Face-to-face meetings are not available in all of our Experience Centres until 9th May, 2021). We have the infrastructure in place to meet our design experts virtually as well. So our customers can continue to conduct design discussions with their design experts in virtual meetings (via phone calls, WhatsApp, hangouts etc.) from the safety and comfort of their homes and at a time that’s convenient for them. This is important for us to ensure that work continues as usual and our customers are able to design their homes without any delays in the design process.

COVID Officers:

We have appointed dedicated COVID officers for all our workspaces, namely, factories, experience centres, warehouses, offices etc, to ensure that all guidelines are being followed and hygiene standards are being maintained. Together we need to take the right steps to combat the spread of COVID-19. We will continue to do our bit for this as responsible citizens.
