So goes one of the best brother-sister quotes ever. And on no occasion is it truer than on Rakhi. August is an amazing month for the brothers in this country. While for the whole year you may be fighting and cribbing about that annoying sister you have, this is the day you stand up and say thanks to the Gods for letting you have a sister in the first place! Sisters with an older brother will always have someone to look up for guidance, and motivation and as a role model for all else, you want in life. And the other half of the sister pool – the elder sisters – know they can totally survive anything the world throws at them, because hey! you just survived all these years with a smelly, full-of-pranks, mischievous younger brother!
But whatever the nature of the brother-sister relationship you share, there’s no denying that sibling love is special, and the bond between a ‘bhai’ and his ‘behen’ is just something else.
