Shades of Simplicity – Aparna Sarovar Grande Hyderabad Happy Customer Story

Tracing a young couple’s 30-day journey with HomeLane

Thiru and Bhuvana Sivanandam are a quintessential young couple building their dreams in a metro. Theirs came to fruition at Aparna Sarovar Grande in Nallagendla, Hyderabad. His search for a good interior designer led them to HomeLane. Getting the keys to his new 3BHK in a month, Thiru was anxious about the timeline, but also very sure of his preferences — simple, subtle and minimalistic, but aesthetically appealing.

Their needs
Thiru works for Bank of America while Bhuvana manages the home and loves children and her books. The design team led by Design Partner Rabia Banu took their lifestyle into consideration to use the space to create a child-friendly and stylish home for the couple, their son and parents.

The heart of the home
The kitchen is a relatively small space, so increasing storage without making the storage units imposing or without crowding the space was an important task. Thiru fell in love with the high gloss laminates in black and champagne. The designer had to make do with the limited wall space and also made sure none of the natural light was blocked. She alternated between plain shutters and those with glass for the modular units to keep it visually light.

Designed for comfort
Bhuvana wanted a console unit between the rooms with buffed edges since children frequented their home. The master bedroom had a walk-in closet — one side with sliding doors and the other with regular hinge doors. Rabia also left a little open space for the laundry basket and created a little nook for a dresser and cupboard for books.3

Something special for the family
They retained the lovely black and white scheme in a leather suede finish for their son’s room. Their parents’ room had to stay lively and complement the dark wooden floors. So they narrowed down on a matte laminate in beige for the wardrobe and dresser units. The dining space leads into a balcony that overlooks a wonderful green open space. So the crockery unit in the dining space was designed to not distract from the view. No gaudy shades, but retaining the same system — a granite top, glass doors for the top doors and shutters for the base unit.4

Thiru found that going with his instincts actually paid off. HomeLane delivered on time and exceeded his expectations in terms of quality and service. Don’t believe us? Watch the video to confirm.
