HomeLane’s Top Furniture Picks

Here are 6 of our favourite pieces of furniture by Urban Ladder that would suit any home

HomeLane’s partnership with Urban Ladder has brought in a wonderful dimension to our home designs. While we take care of the fixed furniture and overall design and execution, our designers have had the opportunity to picked up some great pieces of furniture from the Urban Ladder catalogue. Having designed a few homes at Republic of Whitefield and Durga Petals, Bengaluru, our designers Pramitha Maria Roche and Shivani Kankaria give you their favourite picks:

  • Orita Sofa

Usher in spring into your living room with the Orita Sofa! These arm chairs infuse style and are very welcoming. You can use it to spruce up your reading nook or add it to the living area like we have at Republic of Whitefield, Bengaluru.

  • Camellia Floor/Table Lamp

Got a corner you want to fill up with a warm glow? Splurge on this beautiful Camellia Floor/Table Lamp. It can light up any part of your home and is stunning to the eye. You can also use it as a reading lamp and adjust it to any height you want. (Bedroom displayed is in Republic of Whitefield, Bengaluru)

  • Oslo Chest of Drawers

Our designers love this piece in white as a tribute to Nordic design. It’s light in design, but heavy in capacity with its drawers. You can use it in any part of the home to stow away clothes, linen and what not! It also doubles up as a dresser if top it off with a mirror. • Stanhope Storage Bed

We love designs that optimise storage and are aesthetically appealing as well. The Stanhope bed is fully upholstered with a plush headboard. If you have kids at home, we’d recommend this bed. All the edges have soft cushioning to protect against toe stubs or head butts. It comes with ample storage for all your linens. We’ve used this piece in our Durga Petals apartment in Bengaluru.

  • Wesley Glass-Top Dining Table

This one steals the show by itself! It’s minimalistic but stunning in design. Fits into most urban homes where there is a space crunch. Below the table top is a shelf for display or to store your placemats. No sharp edges and easy to clean around it too! Must have for your home. • Noguchi Table Replica

Inspired by the iconic design by Isamu Noguchi in 1948, this design is simplistic in form and adds to the sleekness of a room. The fact that it’s still in demand is proof that it’s a design for all seasons. The glass top has rounded edges and is supported by two smoothly shaped pieces of interlocked wood that forms a tripod. You won’t regret bringing this into your living room like we did with our model apartment at Durga Petals, Bengaluru (as seen in the picture).
